Abstract
This study examines the impact of life events on students' study habits and the correlation between the two factors. The analysis involved data from 300 students, using random sampling, and the research instruments that used a modified survey questionnaire. This study employs the quantitative, non experimental, descriptive correlational research method. Evaluating indicators such as emotional distress, behavioral changes, physical health impact, and social interpersonal impact. Results indicate a high level of impact of life events on students, with mean values suggesting significant disruptions in various aspects of their lives. Additionally, the study assesses the level of risk reduction preparedness of students in Davao City, focusing on indicators like time management, consistency, focus and concentration, and study environment. Findings reveal a very high level of preparedness among students in managing their study habits. Moreover, a high correlation is observed between life events and study habits, suggesting that both positive and negative occurrences significantly influence students' motivation and productivity. The study underscores the importance of creating a supportive environment for students, prioritizing their well-being alongside academic success. Recommendations include proactive measures to address students' emotional and mental needs, providing resources for coping with challenges, and fostering a culture of empathy and support within educational institutions.
