dc.description.abstract | This study examines the impact of life events on students' study habits and the
correlation between the two factors. The analysis involved data from 300
students, using random sampling, and the research instruments that used a
modified survey questionnaire. This study employs the quantitative, non
experimental, descriptive correlational research method. Evaluating indicators
such as emotional distress, behavioral changes, physical health impact, and
social interpersonal impact. Results indicate a high level of impact of life events
on students, with mean values suggesting significant disruptions in various
aspects of their lives. Additionally, the study assesses the level of risk reduction
preparedness of students in Davao City, focusing on indicators like time
management, consistency, focus and concentration, and study environment.
Findings reveal a very high level of preparedness among students in managing
their study habits. Moreover, a high correlation is observed between life events
and study habits, suggesting that both positive and negative occurrences
significantly influence students' motivation and productivity. The study
underscores the importance of creating a supportive environment for students,
prioritizing their well-being alongside academic success. Recommendations
include proactive measures to address students' emotional and mental needs,
providing resources for coping with challenges, and fostering a culture of
empathy and support within educational institutions.
