Learning styles and academic achievement in Mathematics among Grade 11 learners

This study aimed to determine the effect of learning styles on students’
academic achievement in Mathematics. One hundred fifty (150) students from
Grade-11 Accounting and Business Management were randomly selected for
sampling. The four types of Mathematical students’ instrument were used for
data collection. The data collected were analyzed using mean and standard
deviation. Furthermore, based on the gathered data, the academic achievement
of the students were influenced by their learning styles. Hence, the teacher’s
educational practice of learning style may be developed as a strategy to improve
students’ academic achievement in Mathematics.
