This descriptive study describes the perceptions of elementary teachers on reading aloud strategy. The researchers made use of the Random Sampling Method. The participants of this research were one hundred elementary teachers wherein sixty of them were from Matina Elementary School and the rest were from S.I.R Elementary School. Using the statistical tool called Chi-square test, the results revealed that more female elementary teachers, who most of them had bachelor degrees and taught in grade levels five to six, employed the said strategy than the male ones. It also showed that they employed the strategy on account of the need to improve the listening skills of the students. In addition, the data results appeared that the specific teachers used reading aloud to give students enjoyment and some used it to read texts to their students that may not read otherwise. Moreover, the results showed that there were no significant difference in the elementary teachers’ perception of the reading aloud strategy in terms of their gender, educational degree, and grade level handled.
