The purpose of the study was to determine the level of green practices
from the selected family restaurant in Davao City. A descriptive –survey
method was employed in the study and convenience sampling techniques was
used in the selection of respondents. A total of one-hundred fifty (150)
employees participated in this study. Data were collected by means of survey
questionnaires. The results of the study depicted that the family restaurants
employees highly observe green practice, age and gender based differences
were found in terms of waste reduction and recycling, energy and water
efficiency.
Finding suggested that the restaurant owner must see to it that
employees are supportive and adherent to policies or standards in the
implementation of the green practices. Also, the researchers recommended
studying further about other aspects of green practices such as greenhouse
gas emissions waste diversion, green landscaping and environmental
management system that may help the preservation of environment.
