Abstract
There were 100 respondents taken for the study on determining the factors affecting the air travel satisfaction of senior citizens. Frequency Count, Percentage, Mean, t-test and ANOVA were the statistical tools used in the treatment of the data. The findings of the study are presented as follows: Majority of the respondents of the study are senior citizen airplane passengers who are females, 60-65 years old and Asians; the level of factors affecting the air travel satisfaction of senior citizens described is very high; there is no significant difference on the factors affecting the air travel satisfaction of senior citizens when analyzed by sex and nationality. However, when analyzed by age, two of the indicators namely health and facilities showed significant differences. This implies that the age of senior citizens somehow provides significant impact on their satisfaction with regards to health and facilities. The senior respondents of this study were divided into four different age groups, and it may suggest that the respondents don’t have the same level of satisfaction in regards with health and facilities. Senior citizens despite any age, have different perceptions and preferences. Moreover, three of the indicators, namely accessibility, safety and security and guidance and assistance, showed no significant differences. This implies that senior citizens experience the same level of satisfaction on the mentioned indicators. Overall, most of the senior citizen respondents are satisfied in all of the factors. The results imply that air travel industry is trusted by most of the elder passengers in terms of accessibility, safety and security, health, facilities and guidance and assistance.
