Abstract
The aimed of this research was to measure the community disaster resilience of local residents in selected barangays in Agusan del Sur which will base for an enhanced calamity plan. The study was conducted using a non-experimental quantitative research methodology employing the descriptive-correlational approach using Mean, Cronbach’s Alpha and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Utilizing regression analysis as an approach in data analysis, this research used a regression model to find and explain the mechanism or process that underlie an observed connection between the independent variable, which is the community disaster resilience; and the dependent variable, which is the proposed enhancement of the calamity plan. The questionnaires utilized in the research were contextualized and were made appropriate to the needs of the current study. The respondents were selected using a convenience sampling approach which determined 400 residents in selected barangay of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur. Result disclosed that the level resiliency of residents of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur is very high level of community resilience as perceived by its residents of the Local Government Unit through its Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) which is expected to sustain further an education and training drive to educate the residents in preparing untoward disasters.
