Financial literacy and savings behavior among working students in UM Tagum College

The primary purpose of this study was to see if there is a link between financial literacy and savings behavior using quantitative methods and nonexperimental research design utilizing correlational techniques with working students at UM Tagum College as the respondents. A random sampling technique was used in the study. The Mean, Pearson-r and multiple regression analysis were the statistical tools used for the data treatment. It
showed that there is a high level of financial literacy and savings behavior among working students at UM Tagum College. The correlation results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between financial literacy and savings behavior. In all measures, working students at UM Tagum College demonstrated a high level of financial literacy. Lastly, the savings behavior of working students at UM Tagum College was influenced by all areas of financial literacy.
