This study was conducted to determine the relationship between coaching skills and the performance of athletes. The study was conducted at UM Tagum College. The study used quantitative non-experimental and
quantitative correlational techniques in this type of research. This study adopted stratified random sampling in choosing 200 students athletes from different College Departments of UM Tagum College. The results on the level of coaching skills revealed students' frequent involvement in training and instructing. The result also showed the level of performance of athletes in terms of competence, confidence, connection, and character/caring. The results gathered from the study implied a significant relationship between coaching skills and the performance of athletes in UM Tagum College.
