Teacher's confidence, teaching techniques and interest of BPE students

This quantitative study aims to determine the significant relationship between teacher’s confidence and students’ interest; and the significant relationship between teaching techniques and students’ interest of BPE students in UM Tagum College. To determine the level of teacher’s confidence in terms of: enthusiasm, proficiency and dedication. To determine the level of teaching techniques in terms of: positive classroom management, motivational tools and leaning facilitators. Lastly, to determine the students’ level of interest in terms of: active learning strategy, self-efficacy and performance goal. Moreover, this study used quantitative non-experimental research design using correlational technique. This method used to predict events based on current data and knowledge, as well as to determine the occurrence of variables and their relationships to determine the relationship between two or more variables and explored their implication for causality (cause and effect) through the use of survey questionnaire. This study was based on variables measured using numbers that utilized quantitative approach. This foregoing findings and conclusions and the following recommendations are differed; the University may conduct intervention involving activities that will help to improve the teacher’s confidence as well as teaching techniques and to boost the interest of BPE students.
