Community-based activities as predictor to crime prevention mechanism among youth in Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between Community-based Activities and Crime Prevention Mechanism among youth in Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City. The researchers employed the quantitative non-correlational research that involves descriptive and accurate interpretation of findings. In this study the respondents are youth in Brgy. Canocotan, Tagum City. Random sampling was used to determine the respondents. A total of 303 residents in Brgy. Canocotan, in this study and it was collected accordingly to determine level of Community-based Activities and Crime Prevention Mechanism among youth in Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City. The following summaries of findings were drawn based on the result of the study. The level of Community-based Activities among youth in Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City is described as very high. The level of Crime Prevention Mechanism among youth in Tagum City is described as very high. There is a significant relationship between Community-based Activities and Crime Prevention Mechanism among youth in Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City.
