Emergency preparedness and disaster risk reduction on natural disaster of residents in Barangay Visayan Village, Tagum City: basis for intervention program

Abstract

The study on “Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Risk Reduction on Natural Disaster of Residents in Barangay Visayan Village Tagum City: Basis for Intervention Program” was conducted last March 2021. It aimed to determine the Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Risk Reduction on Natural Disaster of residents in Barangay Visayan Village, Tagum City. Data were collected from selected 200 respondents of Barangay Visayan Village Tagum City through random sampling. The study employed the descriptive type of research in which the main tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. Using the Mean, research finding shows that out of the four indicators of emergency preparedness only public education significantly influences the residents of Barangay Visayan Village Tagum City as this indicator got a p-value of less than .001.
