A descriptive study on the biodynamic farming community in M'lang, North Cotabato, toward agritecture design
Abstract
Agri-tecture is an innovative niche that should be adopted to secure the food industry and sustainable agricultural development. Biodynamic farming is a practice that ensures environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Efforts to produce, promote, maintain, and market products require the involvement of stakeholders. This study utilized a descriptive approach to determining the activities and the needed spaces, facilities, and innovations to support organic rice Agri-tecture through in-depth interviews with the stakeholders and an understanding of the institutional perspective. To provide architectural recommendation for sustainable rural development through Agri-tecture design and to discuss how agri-tecture design help DBMPC promote and develop the organic rice sector. It involves the DBMPC views and ideas towards organic rice Agri-tecture design based on their preferences, capacity, and local context of M'lang, North Cotabato. Content analysis and narrative description are the tools used. The findings suggest that the elements be integrated into the design of Agri-tecture for organic rice to improve and sustain the development of the organic industry.
