Abstract
The Philippines is a nation that is prone to natural disasters. Due to these catastrophes, individuals must evacuate to designated centers. One particular issue that has arisen as a consequence of this is the lack of rest facilities that are large enough to accommodate a large group of people. The populace must create a makeshift, improvised lavatory for themselves. On the other hand, it does not provide users with adequate sanitary conditions or privacy. This research project aims to create a restroom suitable for use in evacuation centers if these kinds of facilities are unavailable or in short supply. The bathroom provides a toilet and a space large enough for one individual to bathe. In addition, it guarantees that it is constructed solidly to survive a disaster like a super typhoon. The steel frames were optimized using STAAD.pro to ensure the design could withstand these wind loads. In conclusion, the final design of the model, which used 2" x 2" x 1.5 mm, 2" x 1" x 1.5 mm, and 1" x 1" x 1.5 mm Rectangular Hollow Tube (HSST), can resist wind speeds ranging from 60 kph to 280 kph.
