Cocos nucifera, whichbelongs to the Arecaceae family of palm trees. As a culturalsymbol of the tropics, they are common throughout coastaltropical areas. The researcher's objective is to peel the brown skin or testa of the coconut without breaking. Researchers conducted multiple experiments and gathereddata throughout the allotted time. The testing of coconuts starts with deshelling the coconut and then feeding the samples tothe machine. After experimenting, the researchers sorted the coconut according to the percentageof the unpeeled part of the coconut testa. The researchers had difficulties during the experiment dueto the irregularity of the coconut's shape. The result of themachine's effectiveness may vary to the lower percentage ofthe unpeeled area of the testa.
