Floods have always been primarily caused by poor drainage systems and complications of waste disposal. For society and the environment, it has resulted in hazards and destruction that pose serious risks. To prevent such problems, drainage nets were invented to control and reduce waste and clogging in many areas. This study examines the use of natural fibers such as rattan and kapok (RK:KF) as alternatives to conventional synthetic drainage nets. Since RF:KF is well known for its strong and fibrous materials, studies on developing a new natural drainage net have started. These rope fibers were produced by manually spinning and twinning threads together. It determines the optimal tensile strength of the ropes; the water and oil absorption capacity; the thermal behavior of the untreated and alkaline treated fiber; and some physical water quality analysis tests;
all of these were also conducted. Tensile testing found that utilizing RF:KF fiber exceeded the specified breaking load for Manila hemp diameter ropes. Also, it passed the water quality test's requirements. Therefore, RF:KF fiber drainage net is an effective and reliable source of drainage net material for controlling and mitigating a poor drainage system
