Abstract
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism has become more strict in terms of following health and safety protocols, and tourists have varying intentions when visiting resorts. The transition from open and unrestricted vacation to health and safety protocol-driven vacation was instantaneous. This qualitative study examined stakeholders' new normal tourism practices, intentions, and experiences. The goal of this research is to investigate stakeholders' perspectives on the effectiveness of the new normal practices and their intention to visit resorts in Baganga Davao Oriental. The descriptive research design was used in this study. The researchers obtained the information by interviewing ten tourists in Baganga Davao Oriental resorts. A personal in-depth interview was used to conduct individual interviews. According to the study's findings, their intentions in visiting Baganga resorts are to relax, bond with family and friends, and explore the scenery. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the new standard practices aided them in attracting tourists to their resorts in order to ensure safety, secure travel experience, promote convenience, and ensure leisure and relaxation. The findings of this study may provide tourism management with information about developing effective tourism practices that can help improve tourism.
