Abstract
This study aimed to determine the relationship between the learning styles and the study habits of the education students in UM Peñaplata College. Employing descriptive correlation method as research design, random sampling technique in determining the number of respondents, questionnaires in gathering data with Frequency, Percentage, Sum or Total as statistical tools, it was found out that the learning styles and the study habits of the first year BSED education students of UM Peñaplata College have a significant relationship. Every style has preferred habits and the learning styles were significantly related to the study habits. Hence, similar study needs to be conducted with wider range of respondents, and with the consideration of other factor which may affect study habits of the education students. Moreover, students should know how to evaluate their study habits for it will help them achieve academic success and they must consider the frequency and the time spent in studying so that their study habits will never be affected. Parents must help their children by monitoring the quality and quantity of their children's time spend in studying their lessons. They must allocate enough time to monitor their students so that the preferred study habits of each student may not be changed, instead it may improve. Children or students should always be reminded that learning styles with preferred study habits relate to each other in enhancing academic performance.
