The purpose of this study was to determine and conduct an investigation involving the effect of English only Policy in Speaking Skills of Grade 6 students in Angel Villarica Central School, Babak District Island Garden City of Samal. The researchers who are BEED students utilized the experimental method in this study. The researchers were gathered data to the respondents through the validated questionnaire in order to identify the effect of English only Policy in Speaking Skills of Grade 6 students in Angel Villarica Central School, Babak District Island Garden City of Samal. The data implies that from the result of the posttests of both groups show increases from their pretest, that the difference of the increase is significant to conclude that the English only Policy is better than the traditional method. it is recommended for the school/administrators, teachers and students to be utilized the English only Policy as part of the teaching strategies in the language proficiency. It is important to remember that the traditional method is also an effective way in developing students language proficiency based on the result in the increase of performance; however the increase in the performance in the English only Policy emphasizes that this method is more effective compared to the traditional method.
