The study entitled "the effect of using positive reinforcement in solving fraction problems in mathematics to the grade VI students in Peñaplata Central Elementary School" was conducted to determine if the utilization of positive reinforcement in solving fraction problem has an effect to the improvement of students' performance. An experimental design was used in the study. The essential data were gathered from a total number of 85 respondents, 42 students from the controlled group and 43 from the experimental group, with the aid of validated questionnaire. Data were analyzed and interpreted using the average weighted mean and t-test as statistical tools. According to the findings of the study, data revealed that the result of pre-test and post-test of both controlled and experimental group is significant. On the test of the significant difference of the use of positive reinforcement and without using this intervention, result showed that there is a significant difference of the utilization of positive reinforcement in solving mathematical fraction problems in Grade 6 pupils in Peñaplata Central Elementary School. This tells us that the use of positive reinforcement could be one of the effective methods in motivating your students in the classroom specifically on solving fraction problems. Furthermore, the researchers recommend to utilize positive reinforcement for it is one of the effective tool in encouraging students' behavior. This study intends to enhance the body of research as it relates to students' learning on fraction problems by using positive reinforcement.
