Abstract
The concern of this study is to determine the effect of PowerPoint Presentation on the Reading comprehension of grade 5 students in Angle Villarica Central Elementary School. The study uses an experimental method research design, validated questionnaires in gathering data with average weighted mean, t-test, analysis of variance as statistical tool. It was found out that the reading comprehension of grade 5 students in Angle Villarica Central School is poor. The study proved that there is no significant difference between using PowerPoint Presentation as a medium of instruction and traditional instructional materials or common approach utilized by teachers. It was further stated through the statistical analysis that the use of PowerPoint presentation does not make any effect on the reading comprehension of the grade 5 student in Angel Villarica Central Elementary School. Hence, similar study needs to be conducted with higher range of consideration of the other factors that may affect the reading comprehension of the students. Moreover, teachers need to look after their students reading comprehension by providing development programs to best deliver instructions.
