Abstract
This research study entitled "The level of student motivation and engagement in Sto. Niño elementary school" was conducted to determine how motivated and engaged the Grade 5 students in Sto. Niño elementary school in the new normal. The research design employed a descriptive survey research design. Cresswell (2014) refers to it as the procedure of inquiry which the researchers intend to adopt for the study. In this study, the researchers gathered necessary data to identify the "Level of student Motivation and engagement in Sto Niño Elementary School in the new normal." The level of the students' motivation and engagement showed that in the new normal learning, the students were highly motivated and engaged with an overall mean of 3.62. The findings explain that the grade 5 students in Sto. Niño Elementary School gain higher level of motivation and engagement in the new normal learning. Base on the result, the students are not fully motivated and engaged. With this, educators should do their best to find a way to motivate and engage their learners. The accomplishment of this may result to higher motivation and engagement of the students and can fully meet their needs and demands with their learning.
