The study entitled UM Peñaplata College teaching and non-teaching personnel's motivation towards work was conducted to determine the level of motivation of the personnel in the UM Peñaplata College. Through this study the researchers were able to analyze, evaluate, organize and gather accordingly. This study was realized with the cooperation of all the the thirty (30) employees who were visibly present in the UM Peñaplata College and were considered as respondents of this study. Fifteen (15) of them were teaching and fifteen (15) were non-teaching. A descriptive method of research was employed in this study that was concerned with the description of data and characteristics about a particular population and more concerned with existing certain phenomena or a situation problem. The researchers made survey questionnaire that was checked and validated by the panel of examiner of this study. Based on the data gathered, the researchers found that, first, most of the teaching personnel of UM Peñaplata College have finished their Master's Degree while some of the non-teaching personnel did not finished such degree. Second, the level of motivation of the teaching and non-teaching personnel of UM Peñaplata College in terms of compensation, benefits, regular communication, recognition and respect were all high. This means that motivation in the institution was observed many times in the employees of UM Peñaplata College. Third, the overall t-value of 0.996 which is lesser than the 0.05 degree of significance; thus, the hypothesis was accepted. This indicated that there is no significant difference the level of motivation between teaching and non-teaching personnel. In the light of the aforementioned findings of this study, the researchers highly recommend; first, the teaching personnel UM Peñaplata College shall maintain their professional qualities in the teaching-learning process since the results are high whereas the non-teaching personnel must also possess qualification that are suitable for their position. Second, UM Peñaplata College personnel must also share ideas that are necessary for the development and strong relationship with co-employees in order to build a better team work. Third, the institution must continuously provide enough salary/wages and benefits in which the teaching and non-teaching personnel are highly motivated to their respective work. Fourth, in return to the benefits given by the institution, personnel must contribute an excellent performance based on their designated areas of responsibilities. Fifth, although there is no significant difference between teaching and non-teaching personnel, they must still perform a professional achievement towards their work by pursuing or participating any seminar programs that will improve their efficiency.
