The study entitled "Management and performance of the retail stores in Peñaplata, IGACOS" was conducted to determine the significant relationship between the management and performance. Through this study, the researchers were able to analyze, evaluate, organize and gather data thoroughly. The study was realized with the cooperation of 30 respondents in Peñaplata who owned a retail store. The method used was descriptive correlation. The result of the study implies that there is positive relationship between management and performance of the retail stores. The level of management and performance of the retail stores got an overall mean of 3.37 and 2.91 and have a descriptive rating of somewhat effective and satisfactory, respectively. These clarify that management affect the retail store's performance with a descriptive interpretation as satisfactory. It is recommended that the proprietor shall improve their management style by conducting training to their employees for a systematic development. Apply proper hiring by conducting interview and give an effective selection for qualified applicants; the establishment must provide continuous motivational incentives to its employees to become more productive and perform better; and Retail stores should enhance their capability and establish more services that could get the attention of customers and could catch their admiration from what they already provide to increase the sales, since the result tells us that the sales quota fulfillment did not meet the expected level.
