Sources of revenue among barangays in Babak district: basis for local government priority projects

Abstract

The study entitled "Sources of revenue among barangays in Babak district: basis for local government unit priority projects" was conducted to determine the sources of revenues on each barangay and the projects made in the barangays in Babak district, Island Garden City of Samal. The respondents were the barangays in Babak district. The method used was descriptive analysis. results of the study implies that the common source of revenues in the barangays in Babak district are from the barangay certificate fee, community tax, water system income, barangay clearance, and city funds. Through government regulations and policies the revenues collected in each barangay are used to develop and make projects that the people will benefit. The result also implies that the priority projects of the barangays in Babak district are the infrastructure, health center, basketball court, and education.
