Risk behavior and financial decision-making among selected entrepreneurs in Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal

Abstract

the study entitled Risk Behavior and Financial Decision-Making among selected Entrepreneurs in Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal was conducted to determine the level of risk behavior and financial decision-making of selected entrepreneurs. A quantitative correlational research design was used for the investigation. Average Weighted Mean and Pearson-r were the statistical methods utilized to analyze the data. Two hundred thirty-nine chosen entrepreneurs were given the modified survey questionnaire, which was used to collect the data. Results showed that risk behaviors, in particular risk aversion, levels were very high, indicating that the majority of entrepreneurs were risk averse, while financial decision-making resulted in a very high level, indicating that this behavior is consistently observed. The correlation between the two variables was found to be insignificant. There are other variables and risk factors that can influence financial decisions. The results of the study showed that the proportion of associations between variables was small. In conclusion, there is no correlation between an entrepreneur's risk-taking behavior and their capacity to make wise financial decisions.
