Abstract
The study entitled Perceived Language Learning Strategies and Students’ Motivation of 2nd year BSED-English Students at UM Peñaplata College aims to seek the significant relationship between Perceived Language Learning Strategies and Students’ Motivation of 2nd year BSED-English Students at UM Peñaplata College. A descriptive-correlational survey research design was used in the study. The essential data were gathered from a sample size of 49 respondents using the validated modified demographic questionnaire. Data were analyzed and interpreted using mean and Pearson product moment-correlation coefficient (Pearson-r) as statistical tools. According to the findings, the level of perceived language learning strategies of 2nd year BSED-English students is high and usually manifested. The result indicated that the perceived language learning strategies were insignificantly related to students’ motivation. Hence, based on these results, it is recommended that teachers and students might coordinate to establish and engage in classroom and school activities that will help maintain or improve their language learning strategies and teaching strategies to build self-motivated involvement.
