This study investigates the factors influencing the academic lives of high school students residing in the coastal area of Barangay Cagangohan. Employing a qualitative approach, the research delves into these students' lived experiences and perspectives through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. The study explores various factors, including socioeconomic conditions, family dynamics, access to resources, educational infrastructure, and cultural influences, to understand how these elements interact and shape the students' academic journeys. By analyzing the narratives of these students, the research aims to shed light on the unique challenges and opportunities they face, providing valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and community stakeholders. The findings will contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex realities faced by high school students in this specific coastal community, ultimately informing strategies for improving their academic outcomes and overall well-being.
