Abstract
This paper examines the strategies of students who are taking the course Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED). It centers around the difficulties and issues they experienced regarding with disaster preparedness. This study involves six fourth-year BEED students at University of Mindanao-Panabo College. These interviews aimed to gather information about their understanding when it comes to dealing with catastrophes. The findings revealed that BEED students are not exposed with varied training programs in disaster preparedness. The students must have a training program that involves critical problem-solving skill, and they must posses adequate knowledge in disaster reduction. Despite this, UM Panabo College have provided drills such as earthquake drills and fire prevention drills for students to acquire expertise in responding with these events. The study emphasizes the need of Training Programs within the curriculum.
