Abstract
This study explored teachers' view on educating students in a flood-prone area. To know the experiences of the teachers in educating students in a flood-prone area and to investigate how teachers still educate the students despite being in a flood-prone area. This research used a phenomenological study, in which information was obtained from five participants. The participants were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The data gathered from the selected participants was analyzed using thematic analysis. Based on the gathered data, the themes that emerged as to the experiences of teachers in educating students in a flood-prone area of Students' High Absenteeism, Disrupted Face-to-Face Classes, and Limited Access to Protective Gears. For the coping mechanisms of teachers in educating students in a flood-prone area, the themes that emerged are Adapting Flexible Learning Environment, Alternative Learning Assessments, and Leveraging Online Communication Platforms.
