Speaking anxiety and academic performance in tertiary institution amidst the pandemic

Speaking Anxiety is one of the greatest challenges that faced by the students nowadays. Speaking Anxiety can affect the student’s productivity, performance and academic achievement in many ways. This study aimed to determine the extent of Speaking anxiety and academic performance in UM Panabo college amidst this pandemic. The moderator of this study was the first year education students. The researchers used the qualitative-descriptive design in determining the speaking anxiety and academic performance. The statistical treatment employed in the study were Mean. The result of the computation using r-value is 0.556 and associated with the p-value of 0.000 which is less than 0.05. It implies that the null hypothesis is rejected. Therefore, it was found out that there is no significant relationship between speaking anxiety and academic performance in UM panabo college amidst this pandemic.
