Abstract
This study aimed to determine The Ordeal of Supervisors Challenges and Struggles: A Phenomenological Inquiry through the lens of Supervisors at E-PACHE Constructions. The categorical variables of this study are: experiences as a supervisor and the challenges and struggles that they encountered in their role; Coping Mechanism of supervisor to negotiate and address those challenges effectively; and Insight/Reflection can be generated from the findings. The researcher conducted an interview at E-PACHE Constructions Supervisors. There were five (5) Informants: two (2) admin officers, two (2) supervisors, and one (1) manager. The researcher used a research questionnaire the respondents/informants answered it in front of the researcher and we used phone to record their answers. Moreover, the researcher made use of a transcript to analyze the data. The findings show that the struggles and challenges of the supervisor, such as absenteeism, language barrier, and following instructions. For the supervisors, negotiating and addressing those challenges by sharing their strategies and coping mechanism to effectively manage their supervision, which include putting in place toolbox meeting, is necessary for sharing best practices to address absenteeism, for ensuring safety in the workplace, improving communication skills, and mentorship programs for guidance from fellow supervisors. Supervisors can enhance their leadership abilities to contribute to organizational success.
