The citadel of managers, struggles, and experiences: A phenomenological study

This study delves into the multifaceted challenges encountered by managers, encompassing communication across departments, recruitment, conflict resolution, staff retention, fostering a supportive atmosphere amid uncertainty, and staying abreast of emerging trends. By focusing on the struggles and experiences of managers, the research seeks to identify workplace difficulties and propose potential solutions, while also gathering diverse insights and perspectives. The study engaged nine (9) managers from various companies and businesses in Panabo City with two (2) at least two (2) years of experience in handling teams providing a comprehensive array of insights and experiences. Managers with one (1) year or less of experience and those not directly overseeing personnel were excluded from the study. The study highlights the significant role of managers in cultivating a positive work environment through interpersonal skills and understanding of their team's dynamics. Despite their crucial role in facilitating organizational success through strategy, team guidance, and productivity measures, managers face challenges in aligning teams with organizational goals, recognizing achievements, and effectively monitoring progress. Managers have developed coping techniques, such as problem management processes, efficient time management, and fostering a supportive workplace environment, which help them become effective leaders and significantly contribute to their organizations' success.
