The pervasiveness of technology fosters advancement in the introduction of language applications to strengthen the acquisition of English as a Second Language (ESL). This study aimed to determine the level of utilization of language learning applications and their implications on the language competence of major English students at UM Tagum College. Furthermore, this study utilized a descriptive–correlation method and involved 209 students as respondents. Likewise, using mean, Pearson-r, and regression analysis, this study found that the level of utilization of language application is of high level. Conversely, the level of students' language competence is low. The study found no significant relationship between the utilization of language applications and students' language competence. Hence, the results suggest that there may be other contributory factors that could affect the language competence of the students apart from using the language applications. These results urge future researchers to investigate those factors to confirm and validate the result of the study. https://repository.umindanao.edu.ph/handle/20.500.14045/1326
