The technology greatly shaped organizations around the world. Despite the technology's advantages to the public, it also has an underlying adverse impact on the employees. The study aims to determine the significant relationship between the effects of technological advancement and employee retention of Sangguniang Panlungsod in Davao City. The study used a descriptive correlation research design and simple random sampling of one hundred employees of Sangguniang Panlungsod in Davao City. Also, an
adopted questionnaire was used, and the results were treated statistically using mean, standard deviation, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and linear regression. Furthermore, the study revealed a very high level of the effect of technological advancement and employee retention of Sangguniang Panlungsod in Davao City. Thus, technological advancement significantly influences employee retention of Sangguniang Panlungsod in Davao City. Organizations will greatly benefit to technological advancement by helping to shape its strategic vision as well as helping it to gain a competitive edge including employee retention. Government services should upgrade software versions to provide faster transactions. Organizations should prioritize keeping the staff up to date on the current trends in terms of
establishing insightful employee training sessions to strengthen employee retention.
