Abstract
Various payment methods kept merging to present as ways of living advances, which causes different individuals to use them, depending on their terms of usage. Research on payment methods and other profiles is rarely conducted, particularly in Davao City. The researchers conducted this study to explain the relationship between demographic profiles and payment methods. Convenience sampling was used to select 200 individuals aged 18 and above purchasing in any hypermarkets within Davao City as respondents. This quantitative study used an adaptive survey questionnaire distributed online through Google Forms. The study used a descriptive design to examine the relationship between customers' preference for payment modes and their demographic profile. The data were analyzed and interpreted by the Frequency and Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, Chi-Square, Mann-Whitney U Test, and Kruskal-Wallis. As a result, the null hypothesis was rejected, indicating a significant relationship between customers' payment method preferences and their demographic profile. In conclusion, this study and its findings can help in various situations, such as problem-solving and filling knowledge gaps.
