Assessment on the use of online trading platform of some investors in Davao City

Abstract

Investing in the digital age is now available. Online stock trading in Davao City is gaining popularity among investors and traders. Several trading firms have created web portals to help with Internet trading. The utilization of online trading platforms is evaluated in this paper. A designed questionnaire was developed as an instrument to analyze portal usage. A total of 100 valid responses were collected and analyzed statistically. As stated by the report, portal users are generally college undergrads or graduates using online trading platforms for less than a year. The portals are helpful, easy to use, beneficial, secure, and user-controlled. Positive correlations exist between the five factors: perceived usefulness, ease of use, risk, benefit, behavioral control, and problem encountered. Users encountered difficulties that were uncommon when using the portal. These issues can include problems with website responsiveness, slow loading times, and occasional system glitches. However, Davao City's internet trading portals have provided a convenient and accessible platform for investors and traders. This study also emphasizes the benefits of online trading in Davao City. One of the primary advantages is the opportunity to access real-time market information and trade from the comfort of one's own home or workplace at any time. These new features eliminate the requirement for a physical presence on traditional stock exchanges and enable investors to make real-time market-driven decisions. Furthermore, internet trading platforms provide diverse financial instruments and investment possibilities, giving customers greater flexibility and diversification options.
