Abstract
The abilities required to hire interns are infinitely increasing in the modern work setting. As a result, organizations and universities must ensure that their graduates are competent and prepared for the market's needs. The study endeavors to discover if the standard criteria for the competencies are being met and reach the demands of the modern work environment. The Adapted Questionnaire were given to practicum students to see whether students possess talents and skills geared toward the industry. The researchers surveyed whether there were significant differences in the level of competency among CBAE intern students when grouped according to respondents' demographic profiles. The data were gathered and statistically analyzed to get significant results using frequency, percentage, mean, Kruskal Wallis, and Mann-Whitney. The results show that the four competencies’ indicators are all very high. Which means that the competency level of CBAE OJT students is highly satisfied with the program competencies of the University of Mindanao. Therefore, it indicates that University of Mindanao met the standard criteria in competency for OJT students. Feedback methods got the highest results obtained with a mean of 4.58, implying that it significantly impacts the competency level of the intern students. Behavioral Abilities got the second highest result and obtained a mean of 4.57. Action Goals obtained a mean of 4.55. And lastly, Action Plan obtained a mean of 4.53. The researchers concluded that there is no significant difference among CBAE students' level of competency based on their age, gender, and civil status. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted.
