dc.description.abstract | According to the World Tourism Organization (2020), there were 1.5 billion
foreign tourist arrivals reported in 2019 globally, indicating the rapidly growing
hospitality trade. Resort hotels are one of the fastest-growing segments of tourism
attractions and rapidly growing in number, diversity, and popularity since the economic
boom of the 1960s. Service through a good environment directly impacts individuals,
which made several researchers note a relationship between physical environment and
satisfaction. Upland resorts such as Eden Garden Resort, Malagos Bamboo Sanctuary,
Ecological Garden Resort, and Lantaw Bukid are among the popular resorts in Davao
City, which are in a highly competitive sector owing to new resorts opening in various
areas within and outside of town. The study is Quantitative research and Evidence based research using CASBEE or Comprehensive Assessment System for Built
Environment Efficiency to assess the environment of resort hotels. The study showed
a relationship between the physical environment and customer satisfaction with
environmental dimensions that affect the perceived quality, affecting the satisfaction
and behavior of users, assisting operators and professionals in the design and
construction field in the tourism industry. P-value is <0.05.
