This research aimed to determine the influence of vocabulary knowledge of students towards technical writing skills. The design of this study was quantitative in nature. The research method employed was descriptive correlation because the researchers applied Likert scale to measure the level of vocabulary knowledge and technical writing skills. The mean and Pearson r correlation coefficient have been utilized as a statistical device in this study. The respondent of this study were the 136 third year students of the Department of Criminal Justice Education of Tagum College who already finished the courses English 225 and English 300 and who were enrolled in Practicum for the second semester of the S.Y 2018-2019. The findings of this study revealed that the level of vocabulary knowledge is moderate. Thus, it implies that the criminology students in UM Tagum College possess vocabulary knowledge that may lead to an effective technical writing outputs.
