Influence of charismatic and transformational leadership on the organizational performance of network marketers in Tagum City
Abstract
In a community of network marketing organizations, leadership, particularly charismatic and transformational, significantly influences organizational performance. The purpose of this study was to determine which characteristics of charismatic and transformational leadership significantly influence organizational performance. The researcher used a quantitative in method and descriptive nonexperimental in design which utilized correlational and regression analysis. The respondents of this study were the two hundred fifteen network marketers from Tagum City. The Raosoft sampling method was applied to calculate sample size and randomly select participants for this study. The statistical methods that were used in the study includes the mean, Pearson r, and multiple regression analysis. This research revealed a high level of charismatic leadership, a very high level of transformational leadership, and a very high level of organizational performance. Additionally, the study also showed a significant relationship between charismatic leadership and organizational performance, as well as, transformational leadership and organizational performance among network marketers in Tagum City. Finally, a single domain of charismatic leadership has a significant influence on organizational performance, namely, strategic vision and articulation. Moreover, all domains of transformational leadership were significantly influence organizational performance, that is, supportive leadership, intellectual stimulation, inspirational communication, and personal recognition.
