Online media literacy of graduate students and quality of media services of the University of Mindanao
Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to determine which domain of online media literacy of graduate students best influences the quality of media services of the University of Mindanao. The research employed non-experimental quantitative research design utilizing the descriptive-correlation technique. The researcher adapted an expert validated questionnaires which have been modified to achieve the objectives of the study. A total of 301 graduates of the University of Mindanao selected through stratified-random sampling were surveyed. Mean, Pearson-rand Regression analysis were the statistical tools employed in analyzing and interpreting the data. The results showed a very high level of online media literacy of graduate students and quality of media services. Further, it was found out that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. When regressed, it was found that among the indicators of online media literacy of graduate students, the media access was the domain which best influences quality of media services of the University of Mindanao.
