dc.description.abstractThis action research study aims to investigate the efficacy of Team-based learning in enhancing the students’ problem-solving skills involving units of measurement in a certain public high school in Davao City. The participants were purposively selected and undergo three-day implementation of the team-based learning strategy. Also, in this study, the researchers used a quantitative data in gathering the results of the pretest and post-test of the students. As the researchers conducted the pretest, it was found out that the students encountered difficulty in devising a plan, carrying out a plan and looking back as we based on the Polya’s method in problem solving. During the implementation of Team-based learning to the students, the researchers observed that the students became participative and actively engaging with the discussions and activities and the level of the interaction amongst the students were heightened. Hence, the team-based learning helped enhance the students’ problem-solving skills and with the integration of the Polya’s method in solving word problems.en_US
