MONEY BELIEFS OF EMPLOYEES IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF ISLAND GARDEN CITY OF SAMAL

Local Government Unit (LGU) employee has very important role in the Philippines specifically in the Cities. They help to ensure their fullest development as self-reliant communities. The study assessed the level of money beliefs of the employees in Local Government Unit of Island Garden City of Samal. The statistical tools employed were descriptive statistics specifically frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and inferential statistics which is t-test through the use of SPSS software. The data was gathered through the use of survey questionnaires distributed to 175 employees in Local Government Unit of Island Garden City of Samal. Results showed that only money vigilance reached the high mean score and money avoidance, money worship, and money status generated moderate mean scores which presented that the money beliefs of the professional employee is moderate. Moreover, both gender and civil status showed there is significant difference in the level of money beliefs of the professional employee.
