Interpersonal communication skills of teachers and school effectiveness
Abstract
This study was conducted to determine which domain of interpersonal communication skills of teachers best influences school effectiveness among selected schools in Caraga, Davao Oriental, Philippines. It was conducted from October 2016 - March 2017. The study used quantitative, non-experimental research design using correlational technique. The 150 teacher- respondents were determined using the universal sampling procedure. Mean and Pearson r were used as statistical tools. Moreover, adapted survey questionnaires were utilized for interpersonal communication skills of teachers and school effectiveness. The result showed that the level of interpersonal communication skills of teachers was high and school effectiveness was high. Further, data showed that there was no significant relationship between the interpersonal communication skills of teachers and school effectiveness and there is no domain of interpersonal communication skills of teachers that influences school effectiveness.
