dc.description.abstract | Thestudy examines the different lived experiences of street vendors during the COVID-19 pandemic in Babak Island Garden City of Samal. The activity covered the actual experiences and reasons of the chosen individuals in the community on how this pandemic affects their living. The study utilized a descriptive phenomenological research design utilizing in-depth interview method. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were established to ensure a consistent and reliable selection of the study population. Utilizing the criteria, 7 participants were selected from Island Garden City of Samal. In this study, inductive analysis was employed in the qualitative analysis process. The study revealed 2 themes under pre-pandemic, 3 themes under during pandemic, 1 theme under challenges street vendors faced (RQ1), 2 themes under RQ2, and 2 themes under RQ3. The study highlighted the impact of pandemic to their lives especially to their businesses among street vendors.As street vendors play an important role in the business industry, it is essential for them to maintain their business and have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage their finances effectively. Additionally, itprovides insightful information on the lived experiences of street vendors and emphasizes the need for education about financial management, financial aid, and supporting policies to assist them in efficiently managing their funds. | en_US |
