EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT IN SAMAL ISLAND MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE
Abstract
The researchers studied Employee Engagement in Samal Island
Multi-Purpose Cooperative, in the Island Garden City of Samal to determine the
significant difference when grouped according to age and gender. The study used
a quantitative research method where an adapted questionnaire was used to
specifically target the 69 respondents. The statistical tools are Mean, T-test, and
Analysis of Variance. In the level of employee engagement, it revealed that vigor,
dedication, and absorption were oftentimes manifested in the services of SIMC
which can be concluded that members will be satisfied if they will be served
willfully with physical health and strength, passion, and process of action and it
would even please them if the establishment has a good ambiance, pleasing
physical and structural appearances. Moreover, employees are affected mostly by
SIMC’s personnel, product, and service it can be said that age differences can be
in the level of employee engagement of an employee, while gender does not differ
in terms of their level of employee engagement. Therefore, it can be concluded
that the employee engagement of SIMC is very evident and that employees are
contented and pleased with their job.
