The purpose of this study was to examine the level of seriousness on different issues about school safety and security as well as the strategies in making school safe and secure. It also scrutinized the significant relationship between seriousness of issues and strategies toward the school safety and security. The study used a descriptive-correlational research design with sample of 637 Grade 9 and 10 DCNHS students selected employing stratified random sampling, with the aid of mean and pearson product moment correlation as statistical tools. Results revealed that students’ perception on the strategies to make the school safe can influence a lot and can serve as a contributory factor in uplifting high levels of school safety and security. The students’ perception on the strategies to make the school safe held the greater significance towards students’ academic life. The findings indicated that there is a low significant relationship between seriousness of issues and strategies toward school and safety and security. Hence, the proposed null hypothesis has been rejected.en_US
