EFFECTIVENESS OF EARTHQUAKE DRILL AND AWARENESS OF COLLEGE STUDENTS AND FACULTY

Abstract

This descriptive-correlational research study aimed to determine the Effectiveness of Earthquake drill and the Awareness of UM Digos College Students and Faculties. Specifically, this study is also intended to find out if there was a significant relationship between the effectiveness namely; Earthquake drill Symposium, Putting earthquake drill signage and actual drill simultaneous. The standardized questionnaires were administered to the students and faculties in UM Digos College. The data collected were analyzed using means and Pearson-product moment of correlation. In terms of the level usage of the effectiveness of earthquake drill, results showed that earthquake drill simultaneous was the most effective strategies among the students and faculties. The results disclosed that there was no significant relationship between the level of effectiveness of earthquake drill and the awareness of UM Digos College students and faculties. The results of the study prove the effectiveness of earthquake drill mentioned in the study is effective to the awareness of the students and faculties
