Academic concept and performance of criminology students in UM Bansalan College

This study was conducted to determine the level of academic performance of the Criminology students in University of Mindanao Bansalan College. The researcher aims to determine the significant relationship between the academic concept and academic performance of the criminology students. The study was conducted using a descriptive correlation method. The researchers administered the questionnaire to the chosen Criminology Students of University of Mindanao with 16 participants. The study resulted in data and findings that the level of academic concept and academic performance of criminology students is high. The significant level between the academic concept and academic performance of the students was tested at 5.05 level of significance. Thus, the decision on hypothesis is not significant which means that there is no significant relationship between the two variables. Based on the findings and conclusion the researchers would recommend that the school should conduct examinations on all types of interest of the students to specifically meet the needs of the students. The school should conduct skill development training and workshops to develop holistically the students and to assure that they graduate as a fully developed and functioning individual in our society and in the institutions they wanted to be in the future. The students should continuously endeavor to enhance their field of interest as well as to function satisfactory in their own academic performances.
